The Elite Bartenders Educational Course Europe 2005

Introduction
The International Bartenders Association is pleased to present the 10-day Elite Bartenders Course  –  JWC Europe 2005 in Czech republic. (czech.com)

Course place
The course is organised in Grand Hotel Pupp***** in world known Spa Town Karlovy Vary - (Carlsbad), in the Western part of Czech republic. (karlovyvary.cz)

Course term
Training centre is held between 3rd (Sunday) and 14th (Thursday) April 2005.

Commencement date
Participants are expected to arrive on the 3rd April (Sunday) and depart on the 14th April (Thursday) by international Prague Ruzyne Airport. Better to find flights of arrival and departure in the time after the lunch.

Official Language
The official language of the Training Centre in English.

Accommodation
Participants will be accommodated at the Grand Hotel Pupp Karlovy Vary on a twin-sharing basis. Should participant choose to be accommodated in a single room or apartment an additional charge of Eur 450 is applicable. (pupp.cz)

Extension of stay
Should participants wish to arrive earlier or depart few days later, the room rate is 95 USD
netto per a day with breakfast excluding transport costs.

Course fee
The charge is 600 EUR per participants, they must have payment sheet before begining of the course.

Participants
This course is designed/created for Barmen/maid with some knowledge of alcoholic beverages and with a few of working experience.

Application
Application on the attached Registration/Application form has to be submited to Milan Kolář, Czech Bartenders Association, P. O. Box 244, 111 21 Prague 1, Czech republic or milan.kolar@cbassociation.cz or facsimile +420.724.077.491 before March 20th, 2005.
Application will be accepted on a "first-come-first served" basis. Each application must be accompanied by payment of the relevatn fee.

Participants presentations
The participants should to prepare 15 minuts presentation about his country and Association and bring the small table flag his/her Association and for tasting to other participants typical spirit of his country.

Certification
Certificates will be awarded to participant, who meet the following requirements:
  • Achieve 100% attendance
  • Pass all exeminations
  • Participate in all activities

Top Student / Team
The top student (s) will be selected based on the following basic criteria:
  • Attitude, Attendance and Punctuality
  • Overal Presentation – oral presenation and class participation
  • Exams

Course structure
This is a 10-days course conducted from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 13 p.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Course Objective
  • to create awarness inherent to the abuse of alcoholic beverages
  • to provide participants with a working knowledge of the wines, spirits, and liqueurs available on the international market, including place of prodiction and quality factors
  • to differentiate and discuss all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages commonly marketed in bars
  • to provide participants with adequate skills to prepare, mix and serve the different types of beverages
  • to allow the participants to experiment with new cocktail recipes
  • to acquaint the participants with the Guildelines for Bartending Working Procedures
  • to train the participants in Bar Control procedures
  • to train the participants in costing and pricing a beverage list
  • to discus and imlplement Bar merchandising ideas
  • to train the participants in work scheduling
  • to create good media and guest relation, marketing concepts and accounting budgets
