W.C.C. and Flair competitions in Greece IBA World Cocktail Competition - Greece
Miss Kung Hui Chun from Taiwan
won the Classic section of the World Cocktail Competition held on
Saturday, October 7th, with the cocktail "Cool Sweet Heart". Mr Stefan Stevancsecz from Austria came second with the cocktail "Aphrodite" and Mr Harri Tormanen from Finland came third with the cocktail "Stop-Ready-Go".
2006 Winning Cocktail by Miss Kung Hui Chun:
Cool Sweet Heart
- 3 cl Bacardi Carta Blanca
- 3 cl Amade ChocOrange (Mozart Distilleries)
- 3 cl Monin Mojito Mint
- 2.5 cl Fresh Orange Juice
- 0.5 cl Fresh Lemon Juice
Garnish: Lemon, Cocktail Cherry, Mint Leaves
Method: Shake
Winner of the Best Technique in this category was Mr Helger Aava from Estonia.
The Flair category saw a high standard of performance, with Mr Levent Yilmaz from Turkey taking first place with the cocktail "Bosphorus". Last year's winner, Mr Danilo Oribe from Uruguay, came second with the cocktail "Baccus Delight". In third place was Mr Andi Hotter from Austria with the cocktail "Agluf Red".
Over 600 people from 52 countries watched as their proteges competed
for the honors with excellent showmanship. All of the competitors were
also skilful in the art of making cocktails, setting a very high
standard for the International Bartenders' Association competition.
