13th International Finlandia Vodka Cup - Finnish National Finals Rules 13th International Finlandia Vodka Cup - Finnish National Finals Rules 1. Every drink must be based on a new and original recipe.
2. Each contestant must submit three (3) drink recipes: a Finlandia Aperitif, a Finlandia Long Drink and a Finlandia Quick Mix drink, all based on Finlandia Vodka, Finlandia Cranberry, Finlandia Lime, Finlandia Mango, Finlandia Redberry, Finlandia Grapefruit, Finlandia Tangerine or Finlandia Blackcurrant. These are the only vodkas that are allowed in the competition.
3. The content (volume) of alcohol in each beverage should be restricted to local laws.
4. All ingredients must be stated in centilitres divided into: “whole numbers” (1,2,3, etc) and/or “half numbers” (1/2, 1 1/2, etc), and/or smallest quantities (dashes and/or drops).
5. Ingredients must be measured with a jigger.
6. Competitors will make five (5) drinks in each category.
7. Competitors are given 45 minutes to prepare their ingredients and garnishes.
8. In the Aperitif and Long Drink categories, each contestant has exactly seven (7) minutes to mix the drinks. Any competitor who exceeds the seven-minute limit will lose one point per half minute.
9. In the Quick Mix category, the time limit is five (5) minutes. Every extra half minute results in the contestant losing fi ve (5) points.
10. The permitted ingredients for the Quick Mix category will be revealed to the contestants 10 minutes prior to the start of the category.
11. The maximum number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients in the Aperitif and Long Drink categories is five (5), including dashes and drops. In the Quick Mix category, the maximum number of ingredients is four (4).
12. The contestants are allowed to use any type of glass they wish to except frosted glasses, or glasses with other logos on them. Finlandia Vodka will supply Finlandia Martini glasses (16cl up to the rim), Finlandia Long Drink glasses (32cl up to the rim) and Finlandia on-the-rocks glasses (27cl up to the rim). Any other types of glasses must be supplied by the contestant.
13. Entrant’s should be made using the offi cial entry form supplied by Finlandia Vodka and sent to the organisers of the entrant’s national Finlandia Vodka Cup.
14. Finlandia Vodka will invite all national winners to the 13th International Finlandia Vodka Cup Finals in Finland.
